From file to form in four steps
Quotes are handled by email, so you have the details in writing. Nothing is made until you approve the quote.
The four steps

Send your file
Email your file to hello@filetoform.com with the service you want, material, quantity, size and deadline. The quote page has a template. No file? Skip to No file yet.

Get a quote
We review your file and details and ask about anything unclear, such as units, fit or finish. Then we reply with a quote for the job.

We make it
Once you approve the quote, your part is printed, engraved or cut here in Austin.

Meetup or shipping
Meet up locally in the Austin area, or have it shipped anywhere in the US (no international shipping). We arrange the details with you when you approve your quote.

Start with an idea, a sketch or a broken part
You do not need a finished design file to get started. Tell us what the piece needs to do and send whatever you have. We can talk through turning your idea into a file we can make.
Helpful things to send
- A sketch with the main dimensions written on it
- Photos, ideally with a ruler or tape measure in the shot
- Measurements of anything the piece has to fit, with units
- The original part if you are replacing something broken: photos from several sides
- Artwork or a logo for engraving or cutting, at the best quality you have
- What it is for: where it goes, what it holds, how it is used
